The Zambia National Service (ZNS) Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC) Intake No. 02/2026 recently visited INDENI Energy’s Ndola Plant as part of their officer development programme.
The team, led by the Commandant of Charles Joseph Nyirenda Training School, Brig. Gen. Sydney Anthony Machiko, was welcomed by INDENI Energy’s Senior Management team including Human Resource Manager, Ms. Beene Mweemba and Business Development and Corporate Affairs Manager, Eng. Nchimunya Milambo.
The educational tour was guided by INDENI Energy’s Head of Operations, Mr. Benny Mbawala, and Chief Fire Officer, Mr. Borniface Mutapa.
Participants were given an in-depth overview of the plant’s operations, including fuel handling processes, safety protocols, and the company’s contribution to national energy security and industrial development.


Speaking during the tour, Brig. Gen. Machiko expressed gratitude to INDENI Energy and presented a souvenir to the management team as a token of appreciation.
Brig. Gen. Machiko highlighted the importance of collaboration between ZNS and key national institutions and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to officer education and national capacity building.
AND Eng. Nchimunya Milambo expressed gratitude to the Zambia National Service for recognizing INDENI Energy’s strategic role in national development and for including the company as part of the officers’ learning journey.
He added that INDENI Energy does not operate in isolation but through strategic partnerships and synergies such as these.
The JCSC Intake No. 02/2026’s visit to Ndola included tours of INDENI Energy and other ZNS facilities is part of the ZNS’s broader professional military education framework
